Today is day 23 of the no-dining-out experiment. I'm so, so close to completing my 30 days without dining out. (Still a ways from the end of Lent, though.)
But... I think I've hit an obstacle I just can't overcome.
This weekend I'm headed to New York for a fun-filled bachelorette weekend (hello, item #45!). While we're there, we won't have access to a kitchen and we're definitely going to be dining out, preferably at some really fun, swanky Big Apple restaurants.
I know I could bring along sandwich ingredients and eat a PBJ before we head out for dinner, but that wouldn't be any fun. And this weekend isn't about me and my food choices, it's all about celebrating Rachel. I don't want to do anything that will take away from her weekend.
So I'm officially giving myself a 24-hour waiver for our whirlwind trip and telling myself that since I'm really doing this for 40+ days for Lent, it'll all even out in the end.
You should really institute an area code policy on this. I'm impressed you've made it to 23 days. I don't think I could do a week. Keep it up!
