In June, I visited a favorite D.C. museum - the National Museum of Natural History. I didn't stay long, as I visited on a busy, loud, summer Saturday morning. I skipped over the Hope Diamond and many of the stuffed species, spending my time instead in the Race exhibit presented by the American Anthropological Association. Given what I do for a living (marketing, with an emphasis on multicultural outreach), I found the exhibit's look at race as a social construct to be really interesting and enlightening.
I'm already halfway through my year of museums, and there are still so many more I can't wait to see!
