Last week Steven and I were blessed to have my dad in town for a visit. He came to see our new house and spend a fun four days with us in D.C.
Since he's been to D.C. many, many times before, his list of typical tourist attractions to see has dwindled. To keep ourselves entertained, he and I decided to get outside of the Beltway for a day and visit nearby Annapolis, MD, last Friday.
We spent our day checking out the Maryland Statehouse, which (unfortunately) is undergoing pretty extensive renovations, leaving its recognizable cupola covered in scaffolding. We did some of the usual history-nerd things, like take our picture in the spot where Gen. Washington resigned his commission. And of course, we ate some delicious crab while we were in town!
